Proper packaging is one of the most important steps in exporting natural stone products internationally. Because stone materials are heavy, fragile, and expensive, inadequate packaging can lead to serious damage during transportation.
Most natural stone exporters use strong wooden crates or fumigated plywood bundles to secure slabs, tiles, and wall cladding products. Foam sheets, plastic films, and corner protectors are commonly added to prevent scratches and edge damage during loading and unloading.
Different stone products require different packaging methods. Large marble or granite slabs are usually packed vertically in reinforced A-frame bundles, while tiles and paving stones are stacked horizontally inside wooden crates.
Professional exporters also label each package clearly with product codes, dimensions, quantity, and destination information to simplify customs clearance and warehouse handling.
Effective packaging not only protects the products but also reduces financial losses, improves customer satisfaction, and strengthens the exporter’s professional reputation.
